Description

The brewery Faust is a brewery located in the Lower Franconian Miltenberg. It is located in the historic Schwarzviertel, a part of the old town of Miltenberg. In 2016, the brewery Faust 1654 was founded by Kilian Francois Mathieu Servantaine from Suman in the Liège region (today's Belgium). In 1825 Georg Anton Krug took over the brewery. He emigrated to Milwaukee in the USA in 1850, following his son August Krug, who founded the predecessor company of the Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company there. In 1895 master brewer Johann Adalbert Faust became sole owner of the brewery. However, the company was renamed in July 1993 by Löwenbrauerei Miltenberg in Brauhaus Faust. Since 1996, the fourth generation of Faust, Cornelius Faust and Johannes Faust, has been responsible for the brewery.
