Description
The family brewery Hartmann can look back on a proud brewing tradition. It is one of the oldest breweries in Bavaria! The property has been owned since 1550. In the 18th century the estate played a significant role. Here was the official Posthalterei Thurn and Taxis'schen Postweg from Bamberg to Bayreuth. Today's "Postzimmer", a quaint room with old beams, is reminiscent of this time. In 1912, Johann Hartmann acquired the property and laid the foundation for the "family dynasty". For brewery and inn also include Forst and a fish pond, the former ice pond for beer cooling in Felsenkeller. This is still today at the foot of the "Würgauer wall". In 1929, the company went to Baptist Hartmann, who handed the scepter in 1967 to his son and brewmaster Ambros Hartmann. Today, Reinholde and Christina Hartmann lead the brewery inn and hotel with their team. The former Erb- and Brauschänke has always been operated with great care. In the original hand-operated Kupfersudkesseleln from the year 1961 arise from the best regional ingredients, coupled with artisanal brewing, real Franconian character beers! Native Jurassic, noble splitter aroma hops and the crystal-clear water from its own rock source mix together to beer specialties, which are characterized by high quality and a balanced taste. Our beers have been brewed with great care for generations. The ingredients are all sourced locally from suppliers we know personally. That creates trust. We think that tastes good too!
