Description
In 893, Carl Betz, a businessman from the Black Forest, registered a business to run a color beer brewery in Celle. Before the beginning of the First World War, Carl Betz brewed malt beer and produced mineral water. Water production was not resumed after the war. In 1930 Carl Betz took his sons Albert and Walter into the newly founded brewery Carl Betz OHG. After Carl Betz's death in 1936, his sons continued the company. On April 1, 1966, Dieter and Karl-Friedrich Betz joined the OHG. After exactly 40 years, the fourth generation took over the company. On April 1, 2006, the previous partners handed over the management of the brewery: Dieter Betz to his daughter Frauke Betz (graduate economist) and Karl-Friedrich Betz to his son Stephan Betz (graduate master brewer).
