Description

It was in the summer, leaning against the bar after an I Muvrini concert in Corte, that the desire to drink a Corsican beer sparked the idea of creating a brewery in Corsica and producing a beer representative of the land of origin inside Armelle and Dominique Sialelli, both beer lovers. In 1996, on April 4th, Brasserie Pietra opened its doors in Furiani and started brewing the authentic beer with corsican chestnut flour. The brewery is continually developing new beers: In 1998, Serena, a 100% pure-malt Blonde, was born, followed a year later by Colomba, a Wheat Beer brewed from barley and wheat malt and flavoured with maquis herbs. Always looking for new challenges, in 2003 Brasserie Pietra began producing soft drinks and created Corsica Cola. Initially available in a classic version, that soon will also be available in a light version, to the delight of lovers of low-fat drinks. Brasserie Pietra has won its bet: After just a few years in business, its products have become part of Corsica's agri-food heritage.
