1919: Foundation of the Grande Brasserie des Enfants de Gayant. This brewery originally sold its beers at home within a 2 km radius in 1955: takeover of the Grande Brasserie des Enfants de Gayant by Jean-Pierre d´Aubreby. At that time it produced 26,000 HHL, had 3 vans, and employed 39 people. 1965: The Douai-based company employs 87 people. 1982: The company employs 144 people. With the introduction of Bière du Démon, the brewery turned to beer specialties. 1994: Introduction of the Goudale brand in a 75 cl bottle. 2000: Acquisition of the Brasserie Jeanne d´Arc, which was later renamed Brasserie Grain d´Orge. The latter will launch brands such as La Géante, La Septante 5, La Triple Secret des Moines and Belzebuth. 2010: Takeover of the brasserie by André Pecqueur - merger of the Brasseurs de Gayant and the Brasserie Grain d´Orge 2016: Les Brasseurs de Gayant moves to Arques in a brand new, modern, state-of-the-art factory. This is the birth of the Goudale brewery. 2017: The brasserie employs 99 people. It makes 1 million hectoliters in 2018: start of expansion work on the Goudale brewery. André Pecqueur is investing 45 million euros in a new brewing room that will reach another 1.5 million hectoliters.
