Description
In 1889, the predecessor of Asahi Breweries, Osaka Beer Brewing Company, was founded. Its sole purpose was to produce a world-class beer in Japan. The company used well-known German brewery techniques and introduced Asahi Beer. It was quickly adopted as a domestic beer of the highest quality and in 1903 was the best-selling beer in Japan.
