Description

Construction of the brewery building, which still exists today, began in 1730. Since then, the brewery has maintained a tradition that has lasted almost 300 years. The brewery has been owned by the Dorn family since 1855 and is now run by their descendants - the Murmann family. From 1990, Helmut Murmann successfully continued the family tradition. His main concern has always been the combination of innovation and tradition. Ongoing investment in both the preservation of the existing buildings and in the latest brewing technology paved the way for the next generation. With daughters Christine and Claudia, the 10th generation is now on board and embodies the future of the small private traditional brewery. The sisters are the first female master brewers in the long family history. They, too, rely on the tried-and-tested mix of traditional brewing craftsmanship with contemporary innovations. They modernize where it makes economic sense to do so, while at the same time sticking to tried-and-tested brewing practices in order to keep the brewery in the family for the future.
