Description
The “Alte Schlossbrauerei”, a house in a quiet yet central location, is situated on the Mirower Schlossinsel directly on the lake. Nestled in the heart of the Mecklenburg Lake District, the castle island is also home to the residential palace of the Dukes of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, the Johanniter Church with its princely crypt, the gatehouse and the beautiful Love Island.
The “Old Castle Brewery” was built in 1705 in the northern part of the castle grounds, in a brick building dating back to the 15th century, part of a former St. John's commandery.
