The IPA of the Zwönitz brewery is produced using a traditional cold hopping process, which allows the hop aroma to emerge even more strongly. For the production of the Zwönitzer India Pale Ales, among other things, the aroma hop Citra from the USA is used so that the beer becomes fruity. In the glass the India Pale Ale shows its golden yellow color, the smell is reminiscent of dried fruits. In the mouth, the India Pale Ale is very lively with aromas of apricot and a barely noticeable caramel sweetness. These flavors play together with a very balanced tartness in the finish.
