Beer description
History: • Even if light beers do not allow the leeway of an original yeast, our master brewer Jan Opper finds surprising combinations of raw materials and brewing methods. The art of brewing a light Weisse lies in not being inferior to the full-bodied taste of its big brother - the Grandau original yeast weisse. At the same time, compared to the original yeast, this type of beer offers the ideal alternative for athletes, drivers or figure-conscious consumers thanks to a 43% reduction in alcohol and calorie content. Brewing process • Brewing using the spring mash process creates the lightness of this variety. Here we take off part of the mash, bring it to the boil and then add it to the total mash. This deliberate mixing of mashes of different warmth at different optimal temperatures, while deliberately skipping material breakdown processes, results in less fermentable sugar and thus a lower alcohol and calorie content of the LIGHT WHITE. Sensory: • The lush, white head meets a golden yellow colored yeast cloud. This strong play of colors and the unique liveliness make up our LEICHTE WEISSE, which is characterized by a fruity, sour freshness characterized by notes of citrus fruit. Enjoyment recommendation • Due to its elegant lightness, our GRANDAUER LIGHT WEISSE is the perfect companion for light cuisine.
Ich muss leider zugeben, dass die Aufmachung der Grandauer Biere nicht so mein Fall ist und ich vermutlich nicht dazu greifen würde.
Da sie aber ein sehr guter und vertrauenswürdig…
