Beer description
The childhood farm of brewers is the source of their love of all things cultivated from soil, sweat, and hard-earned know-how. Their grandfather was a purveyor of preserves and jams made from berries and fruits that he harvested with his own hands. From this early inspiration the seed of craft took root and grew into a philosophy of creating beer with integrity from berry to barrel to bottle. Ferme de Grand-pere is a foeder-aged, brettanomyces farmhouse ale. This tart, deep amber ale was rested on over a pound per gallon of marionberries and bottle conditioned in cellar to reflect and echo the rustic farm-style beers of old.
