This opal lager, built on country varieties, is a rustic Zoigl with deep roots in the Upper Palatinate. It shines like old gold. Here, there is an exclusive new malt release from Weyermann®: The Weyermann® Isaria 1924®. It is the first German approved malting barley variety, whose parents were the Lower Bavarian landraces Danubia (approved in 1912) and Bavaria (approved in 1910). In this Zoigl, the malt brings in a pithy, fresh hay and alpine meadow bouquet, as well as a distinct biscuity maltiness with a solid body. This harmoniously embeds the grassy and nutty aromas from the noble German hop breeds. The pleasant hop and malt notes echo clearly into the long finish.
