The full-bodied Weihenstephaner1516 Kellerbier is a gleaming, amber-colored beer specialty with a fresh-fruity hop aromas and pleasant note of caramel. The combination of dark Munich malt and light Pilsmalt with traditional hop varieties from the Hallertauregion, such as the rare variety Hallertauer Record, creates a full-bodied and unmistakable taste. The cellar beer matures in the traditional manner over a long period of time and under cool temperatures in the historic vaulted cellars on the Weihenstephan Hill and is not filtered before being bottled. The long maturing process means that the bottom-fermented yeast naturally settles and the beer maintains its hazy cloudiness and characteristic appearance. An ideal accompaniment to grilled meat and fish, roasts, cheese and other hearty meals. The Weihenstephaner1516 Kellerbier was first brewed in honor of the 500-year old Bavarian Beer Purity Law. Produced with centuries-old brewing experience on the Weihenstephan Hill.

Ausnahmsweise direkt aus der Flasche getrunken. Ein weniger vollmundiges aber durchaus süffiges Keller. Schmeckt in Summe gut und bringt leicht bissige Noten mit.

Nuce amber color with specs of yeast throughout due to being unfiltered. Taste was nice & refreshing with a touch of bite at the end. Enjoyed this bier!
