Beer description
We kept things a wee bit nutty with another release of this bourbon barrel-aged Scotch-style wee heavy ale. Coconut and walnuts serve up sweet and nutty flavors topped off with a dash of cinnamon spice character to keep things interesting.
750-ml. Bottle
Access Level: Hoarders, Reserve, Preservation
Tasting Notes:
Wee Heavy Coconuts pours a medium amber color, with a dark brown head that quickly dissipates. The beer opens up to a medley of aromas, including a strong bourbon character from the oak, and a mingling of walnut and toasted coconut. The mouthfeel is thick, viscous, and on beat with the aromas and hue of the beer. The palate is complex yet balanced, with a nuanced fold of bold toffee flavors, just a hint of smoke, and caramelized sugar, finishing with a subtle sweetness and flavors of rich walnut and toasted coconut.
