Tschöams Biere - Mödlinger Helles

For a long time I have been asked to finally brew a “Helles” in order to offer a “Tschöam” to those beer drinkers who are not so into heavily hopped beers and prefer to move in traditional beer fields. It is important to me to reflect the diversity of beer styles in my beers, at least on a small scale. The Helle, which is “THE” beer especially in Bavaria (apart from the wheat beer), is characterized by a balance of malt and hops. "Drinkability" is the big catchphrase that you have to submit to when designing and developing such a beer. The delicate bitterness of the hops should be present, but not primarily remain in the mouthfeel. That is what makes this beer so tasty! At the same time, you brew a beer with relatively little alcohol and you quickly notice how well the beer can be balanced. In developing this beer, it was important to me to use organic certified local ingredients (malt from Stadlau, hops from the Mühlviertel). We (Roland Schalken and I) are striving for organic certification for the brewery. My Mödlinger Helles impresses with its straw-like malt light and smells of oranges and cedar trees, which can also be tasted well. The herbaceous and grassy notes of the “Tradition” hops complement the multiple flavors and fragrances of this fine beer.
