Rochefort - Trappistes Rochefort 8

Rochefort 8 or Green Cap is a strong, lively and complex Trappist beer from the Cistercian monastery "Notre-Dame de Saint-Remy". This reddish brown strong beer is the youngest of the three Rochefort beers. The smell shows volatile notes of fresh fruit, spices, leather and figs. The taste is vivacious and complex with a solid body of spices and bitterness of hops followed by a fruitiness of banana and raisin that balances the alcohol.
