In England during the industrial revolution, the stout was deliberately brewed as food to replenish the energy reserves of workers who had to perform exhausting jobs in booming heavy industry. Due to its strongly malty body and the increased alcohol content, it is a perfect companion through the cold days. Our Old Mountain Stout impresses with its creamy foam, pleasant roasted aromas and a light fruity note that is reminiscent of pine cones. Despite the slightly higher alcohol content, the beer is very mild to the touch and goes well with roasts, cheese and baked goods.
