Napoleon´s troops called this style of beer “The Champagne of the North”. It is a Berliner Weisse style wheat ale, primary fermented using mixed cultures of Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus and matured in oak barrels. This batch is a blend of beer aged for up to 54 months. Fruity and lemony aromas followed by flavours of funk, wheat
and slight oak. An enjoyable crisp and dry beer with a firm acidity. Who needs real champagne anyway?
