The Monarchy Methusalem Holunderheimer

Beer style: Also called Adamstil or Dortmunder Altbier. The typical sour taste of this style is also to taste in the Methuselah Holunderheimer, but is complemented by smoked malts and elderberries. The Methuselah is brewed with the juice of elderberries. This not only results in the rich, red-black color, but above all a full-bodied, bitter taste with a fruity-herbaceous bouquet. In the finish the harsh elderberry taste is particularly noticeable, while the sour beer keeps discreetly in the background.
