The Stag - The undisputed monarch of the glen. The Stag is the most regal of all beers! Good strong flavors, without being too overpowering, a beer with true character that can be enjoyed all evening. A mahogany-colored beer with a medium to light body. Challenger and Fuggles hops are generously added, giving the beer an initial bitterness that is then balanced out by a caramel finish from the roasted malts. Best served at 11-12 degrees Celsius. The red deer is the largest of all British land mammals and impresses in full glory during the autumn mating season or "rut". One of the best times for deer watching is winter, when the herds seek lower grazing areas in bad weather. Deer can be enjoyed throughout the year in the many good pubs, restaurants, and shops in the Highland Glens and in the cities of Scotland.
