Beer description
It pours a very dark amber colored body with a one finger beige head. It looks nice! Aroma is very fresh and juicy. Lots of hops! There’s some nice grapefruit and orange peel notes. A subtle hint of clove and spice too. It smells like it’s gonna be a nice hoppy red ale! The taste is not as hoppy as the aroma might suggest, but there’s definitely a hoppy bitterness! The taste is really nice and round. More refreshing than interesting in this case – that’s not always a bad thing. While it’s somewhat bitter it’s also very sweet. The malts are dominating the taste, especially the aftertaste. There’s some spicy rye notes too. It drinks extremely easy. It’s a light bodied beer with decent carbonation. It’s just an all round refreshing beverage with nice flavors. A good gateway beer into the craft scene.
