Stöckl MÄRZEN was the typical Viennese beer in 1842. The reddish color was significant for this type of beer, which was later introduced by the Munich breweries as Oktoberfest beer. It has a distinctly malty character, captivates with its full-bodiedness and is little hopped. Women in particular, who do not like the pronounced hop flavor so much, find their introduction to beer enjoyment via the Märzen. Even today, this beer is known as Vienna-Red in the USA.
