The use of roasted malt gives Starkenberger Dunkel its creamy foam and dark maroon color. The fruity, sweet aromas are reminiscent of stone fruit and raisins.
A strong weakly beige foam adheres with fine pore on the glass, dark brown almost opaque but basically undisturbed with deep red shimmer, the beer occurs. Fruity sweet aromas with stone fruit notes and some banana find their way into the nose. Intensive sweet roasted malts start the antrunk. The fruity aromas are somewhat in the background. The banana and stone fruit notes now balance each other in their intensity. Despite the sweetness, the beer retains a certain lightness. The carbon dioxide contributes to this, the first gently tingling and then moussierend on the tongue in appearance. Average recent. A medium body with pronounced roasted malt develops and the fruitiness decreases considerably. But gentle hop notes in the background, which harmonize well with the roasted malt and its sweetness. Sweet long malted nightcap.
Honig, Karamell und Holz fein kombiniert mit getreide und Rauch. Echt klasse.
