A Dark Sour Beer Aged in Oak Barrels With Black Currants and Sea Salt No one is quite sure who dreamed up the idea to brew a Gose style beer, but make it black. Regardless, we made a date with Short Finger Brewing Co. on Valentine’s Day, and kept adding midnight wheat to the mash to achieve the inky blackness of our vision. Could it be none more black though? Blackcurrants were submerged and a murky opacity slowly evolved, blotting out the light. At last, our imagination was satisfied!
