When it comes to beers with a high alcohol content and a wide range of aromas, there is no getting around Georg Tscheuschner. He is the master brewer of Schorschbräu and delights with new strong, intense beers again and again. His latest creation is the Schorsch Rubin in the 2019 edition. This is an Imperial Red Ale with a whopping 12.8% vol. Alcohol content. With the Schorsch Rubin you get a fiery, strong and dark red beer specialty in the glass. In the nose, malt notes, fermentation and wine aromas cavort. The beer specialty unfolds its full range of aromas when drunk. A decent roasted malt note paired with a high alcohol content and residual sweetness give the Schorsch Rubin its pleasant character.
