Brewed once a year on the 6th of December, this strong beer is arguably the best-known brewery beer internationally, with a large following among the growing number of beer connoisseurs. The very elaborate and long-lasting manufacturing process (10 months in the storage cellar), makes it a real rarity. Samichlaus can age for many years in the bottle, older vintages gain in complexity and get their creamy-warm finish. The proof: The year 2004 was the gold medal winner in the category "aged beers" at the World Beer Cup 2012. Reddish nut brown, no foam, sweetish malt aroma, strong alcoholic, almost liqueur-like aftertaste.
