Porterhouse Brewing - Red Irish Ale

Counteract the Red Menace. Irish red beer? yes we know Sweet, a little sweet and, well, no thanks. So it was brave of us (we say brave) to put the words "red ale" after our own name. Why the hell should we do that? Because it's a real red ale, a conjuring beer that just so happens to be reddish in color. More importantly, it's exuberantly and happily fruity with hints of malty caramel. But sweet? no way. Balanced yes. Fresh, yes. Aromatic, yes. We even say: Yes, please. Malts: ale malt, crystal malt, wheat malt, chocolate malt. Hops: Galena, Nugget, East Kent Goldings.
