Beer description
Loosely based on a coquito, which is sometimes called Puerto Rican eggnog, this semi-sweet mead is made with chicory blossom honey, piloncillo, cinnamon, vanilla beans and toasted coconut. Aged in a Widow Jane bourbon barrel for a year. Lots of vanilla, sweet cinnamon and barrel initially, then a note of warm coconut grows steadily stronger. Coating and warming. Made in collaboration with Moreno’s Liquors in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago.
