Beer description
Three months past the best before date; oh well; seems fine.Aroma: mild smokiness, more woody than meaty, malts, caramel, a bit of honey cake.Appearance: warm, orangish brown; cloudy; medium sized, fine, relatively stable head.Taste: sweet, perhaps a bit too much so, just a little bitter, and even less sour.Palate: body medium plus; carbonation average; finish more sweet than bitter, slightly astringent; feels a little prickly.Overall: a little too sweet for my taste and not quite smoky enough, but other than that really nice and satisfying; mild but not blunt, very enjoyable.
