Beer description
Rum barrel-aged imperial porter with pineapple, toasted coconut, toasted almonds, and spices
Inspired by the spongey goodness of a treat from the tropics, Parley Porter mashes up all our favorite characters reminiscent of Caribbean Rum Cake. This imperial porter was treated with pineapple, toasted coconut, and toasted almonds, plus a mingling of allspice, cloves, cardamom, star anise, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Finished with aging in rum barrels, Parley Porter offers a balanced medley of savory, sweet, and island-style spice.
Tasting Notes:
Parley Porter pours a thick jet black color with a creamy brown head. The aromas open up immediately to rich notes of spice, rum, and toasted coconut, reminiscent of a spiced rum cake. The thick, viscous body is represented well on the palate with a semi-sweet dark chocolate base, layered with huge notes of ripe pineapple and dessert spice.
