Beer description
In the summer of 2020, Oud Beersel started in-house bottling of beers for the first time. The very first beer bottled at that time was an Oude Geuze 'Reserve'. Therefore, one unique demi-muid was selected, filled with Lambic that had been allowed to mature for 3.5 years. A small amount of young Lambic was then added and a refermentation in the bottle took place.
The result is a beautiful Oude Geuze, with notes of vanilla and wood. Thanks to the prolonged maturation in the bottle, the beer also gained even more character and complexity. Only a limited number of bottles were bottled and each bottle is uniquely numbered. So be quick!
