Ottakringer was inspired by this in the development of the beer sprinkler, and in the end it went its own way. Instead of lager, 50 percent fruity-fresh India Pale Ale (IPA) is used. The second 50 percent mixing partner is a highly carbonated soda. Ottakringer calls it "super soda", which rounds off the hoppy notes of the straw-yellow top-fermented beer. The beer spritzer, whose alcohol content is three percent by volume, was developed by the Ottakringer BrauWerk brewers together with the creative agency Valencestudio. Incidentally, the label advertises with full confidence that the beer splash "with a dry sense of humor is more fun than shandy". The drink is initially available in a 0.33-liter non-returnable glass bottle from selected retailers (gurkerl.at, Del Fabro Kolarik, Ottakringer Shop) and restaurateurs.
