Orca - Blackfly 2024

2024 vintage. Brewed in October 2024. Bottled in February 2025. "Blackfly" Imperial Stout is predestined for conscious enjoyment. A beautiful bulging glass provides the perfect frame for the deep black and oily beer. The firm, fine-pored and creamy foam is already a real eye-catcher. The initial taste is creamy soft, roasty, then dark bitter chocolate, caramel, licorice, and a pleasant hop bitterness which balances the black elixir with its higher residual sugar content. The finish is intense and complex, with notes of sherry, dark chocolate, long-lasting licorice, and espresso. At the same time, it is also elegant and flattering. Of course, "Blackfly" Imperial Stout can also be consciously used as a food companion. This beer variety goes excellently with dark chocolate or more intense cheeses such as Brie or Camembert.
