For the first version, we opted for a classic DDH IPA with a glossy base of oat flakes and malted barley, with Idaho 7 and El Dorado in the whirlpool for pulpy citrus and overripe tropical fruit flavors. Dry hopping with Amarillo gives the beer both intensely moist notes and a spicy, floral character that mimics the bold contrast of the work of art on the label by Scottish artist Jock.
