Not counting the time the Beach Boys played the Municipal Auditorium in 1965, this is the beer that signaled the arrival of the West Coast in New Orleans. Finally, local hop heads and hop curious had a chance to sample a homegrown version of the famed West Coast IPA, and they were not disappointed. With a name that pays tribute to Tchoupitoulas Street, where their brewery lives, Hopitoulas gets its distinctive West Coast bite from a combination of six hops, with six malts providing a sweet, smooth finish. The result is a balanced IPA anyone can enjoy, from the experienced craft drinker to those just learning to love hoppy beer.
