Beer description
The 2023 Night Shift batches include two pastry-inspired beers. The first is the Pastry Barley Wine, inspired by the famous bread roll. Yes, you read that right, the base beer is a barley wine that we decanted into Rhum Agricole casks and then added dried apricots, walnuts and Ghanaian cocoa beans to give it the barrel's distinctive rhum flavour notes alongside classic sweetness. The distinctively fruity flavours of the barley cider were harmoniously complemented by walnuts and cocoa beans, which were then blended with the rum flavours of the barrels. At the end of almost two years of barrel ageing, we have an incredible batch that brings back the memory of our grandmother's inimitable brioche in every sip!
