Beer description
We continue to develop the theme of seeds in beer and this time we dedicate a variety to one of the most famous St. Petersburg birds. The chizhik-pyzhik has not only become a hero of songs, but has also acquired its own monument.
The appearance of the monument in the 90's is connected with an old legend: in the house № 6 on the Fontanka embankment from 1835 to 1918 was located the Imperial School of Law, whose students wore uniforms of green colour with yellow buttonholes and cuffs, in winter - overcoats of the same colours and hats made of puffball. It was for the colouring of the uniforms, which resembled the plumage of a siskin, and pollen hats that the students were nicknamed "siskin-pyzhiks". It was about them that the famous song was sung.
Folklore in St. Petersburg has never stood still, which is why the song about Chizhik has also acquired alcoholic connotations - which is even more appropriate for our label. We recommend drinking the variety directly on the Fontanka River, but this is optional.
