Beer description
The Märzen beer style is a Bavarian classic. It dates back to a time when there were insufficient cooling facilities for the brewing process in summer. To ensure that the beer did not run out over the summer, plenty of stronger Märzen was brewed in March, which had a better shelf life in the warmer months. Accordingly, this bottom-fermented brown ale speciality still has a slightly higher alcohol content of 5.6% and a rich amber colour. Strongly kilned caramel malts give this powerful festival beer, with an original gravity of 13.5%, a full body and captivates with a pleasantly caramelised malt aroma.
