Brouwerij Malheur - Dark Brut Noir

Hazy dark red-brown with a lasting, thin, frothy, tan head; little lacing. Deep aroma of blue plum, raisin, red grape, red jam, fruit cake, port wine, walnut, cookie dough, milk chocolate, vanilla. Taste is medium fruity sweet, lots of plum, raisin, red jam almost, stuffed into a cake; light sourness provided by faint cherry & blackcurrant, woody bitter touch points towards vanilla & chocolate, some nuts too. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, lingering red fruit, vanilla, sweet dough & warming port-like alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Very well balanced, very enjoyable.
