Beer description
Over several months, the bock beer and wheat bock matured in barrels that were previously lined with bourbon and the Sicilian dessert wine Marsala. Through the art of blending, the two beers were combined into a blend that has taken sour beer lovers by storm.
The strong beer is amber in color with a slight haze. The sour beer character becomes immediately apparent even in the aroma. Sour cherry, lemon zest, blackcurrant, and Boskop apple are the dominant flavors. These are complemented by notes of plum, caramel, and almonds. The taste also emphasizes the acidity and is harmoniously accompanied by sweet hints. The mouthfeel of the strong beer is quite lean, with alcohol well integrated. The wonderfully dry finish eagerly invites the next sip.
