Beer description
The former home of the "Bavarian Peat" whisky from the Slyrs distillery also provided a home for the strong bock beer for several months. The strong beer created impressive peat notes, which transport the drinker to the vastness of the Scottish Highlands.
Amber in color, almost fox-like, the bock beer shines in the glass. The slight cloudiness and fine-pored foam immediately catch the eye. Peat notes, reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands, waft into the nose. A rollercoaster ride of aromas of peat, ripe apple, plum, peach, and slightly tart cherry, underscored by subtle honey notes. In the mouth, the adventurous aroma journey continues, with the peat notes taking center stage and being perfectly accompanied by fruity hints. The perceived sweetness is countered wonderfully by a light, subtle acidity. An incredible, barrel-aged bock beer that reveals new aromas with increasing drinking temperature.
