Beer description
Brewed in June 2020 and aged in a single port barrel for 20 months. Lauen is a mixed fermentation sour beer mage with organic barley and wheat as well as a whole bale of hay added to the mash tun. The hay and a proportion of the barley were grown on Shimpling Park Farm, an organic farm that sits in and around the historic village of Lavenham. Lauen was the name for Lavenhem recorded in the Domesday book.
