Beer description

The Ceylon (Lion) Brewery was the first brewery to be founded in Sri Lanka. It was founded in 1849 by Sir Samuel Baker as a metallurgical industry that served the British colonial tea plantations in the Nuwara Eliya hill country retreat. Beer was brewed there from 1881. Her famous Lion Lager is a gold-colored lager with warm roasted malt notes and a hint of fruit and caramel aroma. The taste is slightly sweet with a moderate hop presence. The finish is spicy and fruity.
