In terms of recipe, the dark Hefeweizen beer is identical to the light Hefeweizen beer. The difference lies in a small proportion of roasted malt. However, this small proportion exerts a decisive influence on colour, aroma and taste. The basic colour of the label is the typical dark mahogany brown.
