The dark is a fruity beer with a slight caramel aroma. The top-fermented beer brewed in the style of the Düsseldorf Alt retains a bit more in the bitterness with a fine hop note. The dark is brewed using a traditional decoction process. The various types of Pilsner malt and caramel malt give the beer its bright copper color.
