Karmeliten Straubing - Kloster Doppelbock

Almost clear, brown-red beer with a rather small, slightly beige head of foam. Intense dark malt aromas in the smell with lots of caramel, chocolate and nutty notes; light hop notes in the background. Medium sweet taste with rounded bitterness. Roasted malts dominate the taste, plus caramel and chocolate, some hazelnuts - with a rather tart finish; something alcoholic.
