Kaapse Brouwers - Karel On Steroids #400 Limited Flowable Edition (2024)

First brewed by accident in 2015. The plan was to brew an ordinary Karel, but our brewer accidentally tossed the dryhops in the wrong tank and Karel On Steroids was born. Since 2021 we reintroduced this super hoppy Double IPA of 8,5% ABV to celebrate our 100th brew in the new production brewery. Since then we celebrate every 100th batch of beer by brewing a whole new reiteration of this what is now become a classic American Double IPA. This super hoppy beer is still clear and packs a punch on the tail end. But in keeping up with the times, we do like to implement new techniques and raw materials. For the 400th batch we chose to go with the flow and utilise the state of the art flowable hop products like Dynaboost and a new experimental product called YKC 701.
