Beer description
Originally, all Christmas beer was supposed to be a strong, dark and malty beer. Julefred with a purple label is brewed in this tradition and is made primarily so that it will go well with the traditional Christmas food in Western Norway. We make a Scottish-style Christmas beer with clear sweetness from the malt and a moderate fermentation character. This means that the rich flavors from the dark malt come through well in the taste picture. Do not drink Julefred too cold, then you will miss the nuances in the malt taste.
