The idea for the beer comes from Balázs Ujlaki, our plant manager and veteran Night Shift colleague, who has been carefully monitoring the professional and technological progress and development of Night Shifts since the brewery was founded. It started as a true project of love, Balázs definitely wanted a simple, kuglóf-inspired, sweeter pastry stout, in which, in addition to the vanilla flavors of the barrels, a little cinnamon is added. Of course, before the barrel aging, we also added a twist during the cooking process, as the HBC 472 hops used in the cooking process were designed to enhance and strengthen the woody flavors of the Tennessee whiskey barrels in the finished beer. The end result is simply brilliant, a sufficiently sweet, amazingly tasty, fabulously vanilla-cinnamon, real little "cookie bomb" that beautifully shows the characteristic flavors of Tennessee Whiskey barrels.
