Zwanzger - Holzmichl Imperial Stout

"Holzmichl Imperial Stout" is the base batch for 7 different "Holzmichl Wood-Aged Imperial Stout variants". For the Wood-Aged Imperial Stout variants, the effect of different types of wood on the beer was tested. 7 types of wood (cherry, pear, plum, apple, hazelnut, oak & chestnut) were dried and roasted in the oven, then aged with an Imperial Stout base batch for several weeks. The result is 7 exciting and sometimes very different beers with their own unique flavor.
